I wanted to share some of the yumminess we partook in during our trip. I didn't take pictures of my food at the restaurants because, again, I don't want to be TOO much of a weirdo ;)
You know me, I have to have an awesome breakfast
We went to the grocery store the first day and bought a lot of yummy stuff. The bacon looks funky in these pics probably because it is turkey bacon. It was decent, but when we got back to Georgia I bought a different brand (Butterball) and it is MUCH better.
I forgot to buy Pam, so the eggs stuck a bit :/
I cooked biscuits at the beginning of the week and they lasted us all week for breakfast every morning.
I also bought orange juice, which I hardly ever buy. I typically like to stick with water or hot tea at breakfast, but I decided to change it up a bit.
I bought Trop50 which has less sugar and calories and I mixed it with half water. So...Trop25, yes? It still tasted good too, I promise!
We took lunch and snacks with us to the beach everyday to a) save money and b) not have to leave the beach and go back to the room.
So most days we had sandwiches and we had lots of grapes, carrots, strawberries, apples and also goldfish crackers..mmmm. DH had his own...'choice drinks' which I won't post here because I'm classy like that.
My MIL also made us the most amazing pasta salad and we devoured it in about 2 days. Speaking of...I really need to get that recipe from her.
We also went.....PARASAILING!!!
See those wee little specks. That's us.
This is us after being dunked in the water. And I do mean dunked.
If you have never gone parasailing I HIGHLY recommend trying it. I am deathly afraid of heights (as in I have never, and will never, ride a traditional roller coaster), but this is not scary at all. You don't even realize how high you are and the whole experience is very eerily calm and soothing. It's relaxing to be up in the sky with nothing but the wind blowing and the water around you. I promise. Would I lie to you guys? ;)
