Thoughtful: Change of Heart

Tonight I made the blog 'official' because I bought its domain: www.fitnesswithafork.com. Much shorter. Much prettier. Much easier. Sadly, when it changed the domain, all of my statistics from how many times people have visited a page got lost forever :( It really made me sad. **EDIT: They came back! YAY!

There were also a few other things that I had to re-do. One of them was to add the other 'awesome blogs' back to the list on the sidebar. In doing so, I stumbled upon a few other new blogs that I have never seen. I found this particular post really spoke to me:

This has led me to a decision not to post the calories in/calories out in my journal posts. Much the same as I do not post the calories for my recipes. This is because I don't want you all to become obsessed with or focused on calories. It's not fun and I would be the first to know. I want you all to focus on how food can be fun AND healthy at the same time. Mostly, I want you to focus on LIVING. Don't worry about whether you had too much today or yesterday. Don't worry about what you are going to do tomorrow. Just BE. Listen to your body. Eat when you are hungry. Don't eat when you are not hungry. If exercise makes you feel good and happy, then exercise. Don't view exercise as a 'punishment' for eating that brownie yesterday. Look at it as a way to make yourself stronger and happier than you were yesterday.

For some of us, this is easy. For most, it's not. But, if we just make little changes here and there every day, we can get there. So, let's see what amazing and fresh food concoctions we can come up with! The blog link I posted had some pretty unique combos!
