Update: How YOU doin'?

Oh, hi. Remember me? It's been awhile...again...sorry about that. Pretty much the same ole stuff going on around here. Eat, sleep, workout, school, do it all over again. I was in an awesome friend's wedding this weekend:

Almost time for the newlyweds to leave!

The DH and I also celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been two years already!
Yes, for the haters, I did eat some of that dessert, because it was FREE. lol.

Weekends like this are always fun, but after about 2 days of not eating like I normally do, I start to feel...gross...sluggish...etc. I didn't eat 'too much' and the food wasn't 'bad' food, but it just wasn't as 'clean' as I would like it to be. For our anniversary dinner we had this amazing Spinach salad with warm dressing...mmm...so good. I ordered fish, but I literally couldn't eat it because I was already so full! I tried to, but DH ended up eating it. I had a bite of the dessert and it was yummy! 

On Saturday, we had the Bridesmaids' Luncheon and it was so fun and nice.

I had already ate breakfast at the hotel because I'm typically starving hungry when I wake up. The luncheon had such a pretty presentation:

 Cheese Crackers, Frozen Fruit/Yogurt, Chicken Salad in Heart Shaped Crusts


The luncheon was at the Swan House, hence the Swan dessert. I didn't eat much of the actual lunch, but I tore up the chocolate mousse inside this beast. Mmmm...Hey, you gotta live a little.

The wedding was beautiful, as was the bride. 




Moving on to some food happenings that aren't related to the wedding weekend. DH made this Tomato Potato Bisque (Say that 5 times fast). 

So yummy for these cold and rainy nights we have had lately.


Do you ever think that you are craving something and then you get it and realize it's a bad idea every time? That's how I feel about two places in town: Keba and Earthfare. They sound good in my head, but I am always let down and regret it...

 Squash, Green Beans, Red potatoes with deathly spikes and Tofu


At least it kind of looks pretty, right? The Tofu was good, but the Green beans were eh and the potatoes seriously had this seasoning that was like eating spikes. I had to wipe them off.

And can we talk about this:
 
Will someone who knows more than me please tell me what this is? So that I can be sure to never get it again? There are few things that I truly don't like. 
Let's add this to that list. 



This week I was craving a good sandwich. A friend in one of my classes brings a sandwich on her 'rich girl bread' (you know who you are) and it made me want a really good sandwich. So, I bought meat from the actual deli, which I pretty much never do.

Beautiful
Wheat Bread (toasted), Peppered Turkey, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Mustard

Served with a salad and grapes


I taught 6am cycle twice this week and each time I have had a Kashi granola bar before class and then after class I had eggs and toast:

 1 egg, 1 Tbsp Almond Milk, Fresh Spinach and onions


With 2 pieces Whole Wheat Toast
