About Me

My name is Courtney and this is Fitness With a Fork

My goal is to show people how to live a healthier lifestyle.

I think that being strong and healthy is all about balance and making every day choices that are healthy.

I try to post recipes that use budget friendly and easy to find ingredients.

I also try to post fun and accessible exercises.

Other times I like to post about whatever comes to my mind.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science back in 2008.
After working in the political field for about a year, I decided to go back to school and pursue my passion for health and nutrition.

I graduated with my B.S. in Dietetics in May 2012.

I completed the M.S. in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetic Internship Program in 2014. I also received the Gerontology Certificate as part of my studies.

Ringing the bell!

My research was with both the Foods and Nutrition and the Kinesiology Departments. I successfully defended my thesis and it was entitled Intakes of plant based foods, alcoholic beverages, and nonnutritive sweeteners in postmenopausal breast cancer survivors.

I was also a graduate teaching assistant for an undergraduate/graduate nutrition education class, which I really enjoyed doing!

I have been teaching Group Fitness Classes since May 2007. My first love was Step aerobics and I eventually moved on to every other type of freestyle class.

I teach RIPPED, Kickboxing, Step, Cycle, TRX Rip, BodyCombat, Bootcamp, and any type of sculpting or abs class.

I am also one of the Yoga Instructors for the University of Georgia Football Team.

I am a RYT200 (Registered Yoga Teacher, 200 Hours, Yoga Alliance).

I am also certified in:

Schwinn® Cycling

TRX®  Rip Certified Trainer
